Chloé's Dree bag, designed in her honour, appears to be an extension of her personality and the brand's. In an interview with ELLE, she agreed:
"It's a rad bag. I'm pretty true to my own style and this bag really fits as an element of it."
Dree's confidence, carefree spirit and inimitable style leaves a subtle but signature mark. With Chloé now available at Le Mill, we took a closer look and came away impressed. Below, five things we know and love about Ernest Hemingway's great grand-daughter:
The camera loves her

She began modelling at 16 and has worked with luxury heavyweights - Givenchy, Chanel, Gucci, Calvin Klein. Taking after her famous aunt Margaux Hemingway (described as the face of a generation by New York fashion artist Joe Eula in 1975), she starred in her first movie Starlet in 2012. A supporting role in director Noah Baumbach's While We're Young (2014) and the upcoming The People Garden shows her commitment to the indie genre.
She collects vintage
She recently bought a home in Laurel Canyon, LA, legendary for being pivotal to California's music scene in the 60's and 70's. Another nostalgic purchase is an old vintage '79 red Mercedes with white rim tires. Her clothing often reflects a love for mixing old and new - more on that soon.
Dree's approach to health and beauty is enviable: part hard work, part therapeutic and all things considered quite low-maintenance. From an interview with Harpers Bazaar, we learned that she grew doing ballet and still does it everyday. She also walks everywhere in the city ("I'm sure a lot of people say that, but it really does help to just put on music and clear your head.")
She invests in skincare i.e. tinted moisturiser over foundation, and calls it a day with mascara and lip pencil. ("If I had a few extra minutes to play up any feature, it would definitely be my cheekbones.")
The perfectly undone hair is courtesy her New York-based colourist Lena Ott. "I don't really shampoo my hair, I just use conditioner and let it air dry." The secret to her signature Chloé-girl hair? Don't own a blow dryer!
She's got style
Dree's personal style takes cues from her big inspirations: music and women like Katharine Hepburn, Margaux Hemingway, Joni Mitchell and Jane Birkin. The result is always original, slightly androgynous, the highest elevation of downtown cool.
When asked about the best advice she's ever received, she replied, "My mother always told me, 'Pretty is as pretty does.' You're only as beautiful as how you act and treat people." Love that.
