Create Your Own Bombay Story with Our Fall Favourites
This season we walk you through our FW16 collection and show you were exactly each outfit would love to go!
Movie at the Alliance Française
Bombay is great for Bollywood but if you’re in the mood for something a little less mainstream, it’s hard to find offbeat options. One secret we’re happy to share are the weekly film screenings at the Alliance Francaise where they feature a variety of internationally acclaimed movies. The entry is free and this is a culturally satisfying way to spend your weekend. Style your Jean Cocteau with some Saloni, Chloe and Alexander McQueen for a Paris meets Mumbai kind of vibe.
Gallery Hopping in Colaba
Wherever you look, Bombay is bursting with art. If it’s not street art graffiti-d on the sidewalk, it’s another noteworthy exhibition being held at one of the city’s premier galleries. Check out photography at Tasveer or if you’re more traditional, the Jehangir Art Gallery houses a mix of classic and contemporary pieces. Whatever your preference, this Alexander McQueen Dress and flatform shoes will keep you comfortable and looking great.
Private Dinner at Magazine Street Kitchen
The Table team launched Magazine Street Kitchen as an interdisciplinary space where local and international chefs hold workshops and dinners letting you can taste some of the best food in the world, at your doorstep. The space is also available to rent for private dinners, classes, as a kitchen space and whatever else you can imagine. The last few dinners we attended were beautifully set up, sit down dinners with some of the most fabulous faces in town. Metallics haven’t looked quite as good as they have this season and Dries Van Noten and Nathalie Trad cover all the bases.
Drinks with the Girls at Doppio
It’s always nice to find a bar that’s just that, a bar. Somewhere not trying to be a nightclub with pounding music but sticking to what they do best, good cocktails, mood lighting and some background music. Doppio is great for weekday drinks with the girls since it’s always buzzing and is conveniently located at Breach Candy. Stella McCartney is the queen of the puffa jacket and this bomber version is no less appealing. Teamed with a candy floss pink co-ord set and metallic flatforms, this look is classic Stella.
Diwali Party with the Parents
It’s almost that time of year! Houses twinkling with fairy lights, the dark night sky serving as a backdrop to festivities and fireworks- it’s almost Diwali time. The spirit of Diwali lies in the time spent with family, the nights spent celebrating and the afternoons spent sleeping off the previous night! Going traditional is always appreciated however why not try something new with a brocade banarsi saree draped over this metallic Dries Van Noten blouse? It’s trendy, classic and perfect for celebrating the festive season.
Day at the Office
Sometimes life gets routine. The monotony of 9-5 becomes stale very fast and the one way we like to keep it fresh, is with outfits like this. Osman is a new addition to the Le Mill family and we promise you, once you try one his perfectly fitted trousers and blouses, you’ll never buy anyone else’s. Focused on architectural simplicity and underlined with femininity, Osman’s FW16 collection is a no brainer.
