Best Swimwear: Our Definitive Edit for Your Shopping List!
California dreaming? So is the entire fashion set! French swimwear designer Leslie Amon brings us a collection inspired by ’80s L.A. After the Central Saint Martins’ graduate cut her teeth in fashion at Lanvin, Giambattista Valli and Maison Michel, Amon launched her eponymous swimwear brand in June 2018. Her designs with zebra prints, metallic embellishments and romantic frills, she says, are for going out rather than taking off. Wear them as crop tops or bodysuits!
There’s no question that Mumbai based designer Anjali Patel Mehta’s label, Verandah, is for the bohemian. The investment-banker-turned-fashion-designer was almost making up for lost time, by indulging her passion for travel with a travel-friendly edit. The latest addition to her arsenal of tropical prints? Swimwear! In bright, irresistible summer hues.
Designer and PR maven Annika Fernando has led a sort of creative renaissance in Sri Lanka. Her resort wear label, Maus, now includes an incredible line of swimwear in earth tones and pop colours. Our favourites include the colour blocked maillots and even the bikini-brief sets that can be mixed and matched.
