Julie and Cecilia Take on Paris Fashion Week

Every six months Fashion Week is upon us, and yet, we are never truly ready for the week of madness that ensues. No matter how earnestly we plot our schedule we end up wanting to be in multiple places at once, to get the most out of the non-stop action. We were in Paris this week, attending shows and preparing Le Mill’s Fall/Winter edit.  In between? Lunch on the run, a quick coffee in the Marais and a quick stop to smell the roses. Here’s a look at a day in our life:

See you soon, Chanel

7:30 am: Love waking up in my mother’s Paris flat – serious upside of Paris Fashion Week! – Cecilia

11 am: The Grand Palais is converted into a Chanel Shopping Centre, a hypermarket of over 500 Chanel ‘products’. The models finish their turn and grab a cart, shopping, chatting and comparing products.

Karl Lagerfeld, with another stroke of genius, gave us all a reason to stay a little longer, allowing us to shop ourselves.  One can expect the unexpected with Chanel these days.

12 noon: Appointments, Colette… here’s where we spend a chunk of our time during fashion week!

1 pm: A working lunch while we meet with the team from The Row to take a closer look at the collection.

THIS bag is even better IRL!

“Which one?” – at Mary Katrantzou

4 pm: Customised clutches for a bride on her special day and a Rainbow collection from Edie Parker – we’re sold.

Necessary fashion week accessory – Band-Aid for damaged feet!

5 pm: Last stop for the day – the Acne store, at Le Marais. The merchandise is always so sharp and on-point, it’s impossible to leave.

Green flowers to thank our friends for a lovely time! À bientôt Paris!
