Julie and Cecilia’s Spring Break Snapshot

Back and refreshed, from Paris Fashion Week and vacations in Italy and Argentina respectively, a quick catch up with co-founders Cecilia Morelli Parikh and Julie Leymarie:

Model Bhumika Arora for Chanel | Designer Eddie Borgo with Julie

Paris Fashion Week

JULIE: We are super excited to launch Osman and Tome in July for Fall Winter ’16. We also had a great meeting with Saint Laurent. More information soon 🙂

Art & Culture Pick

CECILIA: No time for any of that. Any free time is spent reading up on Hilary Clinton and Donald Trump. The closest I get to a book is the one I read my daughter before she goes to bed. We are loving ‘Goodnight Moon’ (in French) these days.

JULIE: I wish I had time in Paris to visit the Louis Vuitton Foundation and see the latest exhibition about Chinese artists. A must watch from the Oscars: The Danish Girl. I loved the aesthetic and the amazing performances by Eddie Redmayne and Alicia Vikander. I REALLY LOVED IT!

Cortina, Italy | Aguas Arriba, Argentina

Spring Break

CECILIA: Took off a few days between Milan and Paris fashion week to go skiing with my dad, husband and cousins in Cortina, Italy. This is where my dad learnt to ski, as did I and now my husband. It’s a very old ski resort in the Dolomites, a few hour drive from Venice. The best thing about skiing in Italy is the mid morning cappuccino and the pasta at lunch. Best restaurant there is El Camin. Really beats raclette for every meal.

While in Paris I always have dinner with my mentor Jennifer Sunwoo of Barneys at Caviar Kaspia. And on another night, dinner with Eddie Borgo and Lisa Marie Fernandes at the amazing Japanese restaurant Yen in St Germain.

JULIE: I returned from a beautiful trip to Argentina with my husband and my two daughters just before fashion week. We went to Patagonia to see the Perito Moreno (the biggest glacier) and to Ushuaia. The highlight of the trip for my daughters was to see thousands of penguins on a private beach.

I really recommend this small hotel called Aguas Arriba. A small five room wooden house hidden in the mountains with a great chef and charming argentinian hosts. You have to drive four hours and take a boat to reach there. The best secret on earth…

La Mar, Buenos Aires

Culinary experience

CECILIA: After almost 3 weeks of travel, I’m very excited about being home. I can attest that our gluten free home baked bread and avocado sauce is the best meal I’ve had in weeks. I just wish I had a bottle of Amarone to drink with it…

JULIE: La Mar in Buenos Aires. A Peruvian restaurant done by the famous chef Gaston Acurio. The best ceviche EVER.

Dries Van Noten denim | McQueen gold sneakers

Summer wardrobe additions

CECILIA: A McQueen knit dress in lavender to wear to my friend’s wedding in Sicily. A five pocket Dries Van Noten oversized denim to wear every day. A woven Balenciaga basket bag.

JULIE: A stripe shirt dress from Isabel Marant. An embroidered coloured top from Dries. And the gold sneakers from McQueen to wear with any summer dresses.

The best thing about Paris in Spring?

CECILIA: Jardin Du Luxembourg with kids.

JULIE: Jardin du Palais Royal with kids!!
