Meet Instagram’s Most Buzzworthy Label: Staud
Sarah Staudinger, former fashion director of Reformation, founded her LA-based label Staud in 2015, with fellow creative director George Augusto. Sarah has always been surrounded by fashion. Her mother Joanna helmed a line of shoes and rhinestone tees that were retailed at LA’s trendy hotspot, Fred Segal.
In no time, her brand has become one to watch at New York Fashion Week. Staud makes well crafted, high-end fashion accessible, and affordable. They are known for their pursuit of style, and effortless, ready-to-wear clothes and accessories. Personal style bloggers such as Blair (Atlantic-Pacific), Aimee (Song of Style), Helena (Brooklyn Blonde) and Elizabeth (Stylewich) have all been spotted carrying a Staud’s buzzworthy bags.
Staud stands for everything that is artfully minimalist. While it is about style and versatility, it is most importantly all about attitude. Staudinger packs the spirit of California into her laidback, wearable designs. No wonder the handbags have fast gained a cult following, and the retro inspired ready-to-wear has caught on too!
Sustained value has been a key element to Staud’s success. In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar Staudinger rightly summed up, “We wanted to create collections that were not overly trend driven that had a timeless quality and remain affordable.”
