Le Mill co-founder Cecilia Morelli Parikh on ’70s freedom, Lakshmi Menon and coveting our latest addition, Alexander McQueen:

“The main direction for SS15 this season was ’70s, with a fresh spin. All the clothes we felt were most on trend were those that had an easy ’70s feel. Flared pants, lots of denim, flower prints. Wrap closures over buttons. Flowing garments that feel free.”

“To us Lakshmi epitomises a strong Indian beauty. Female but androgynous. We love how fearless she is in her pose but also in how she wears her clothes, even in her everyday life. We wanted to bring this out in this season’s campaign. She also happens to be a close friend of Le Mill.”

“Personally, I’m coveting the McQueen kimono dress. I want to wear it with high heels to a party and then with slippers to bed! I also coveting The Row pantsuit. I love clothes that are a shortcut to looking good. Pantsuits do just that. It’s a top and a bottom that already match.”
