Trend Report Resort 2018
Cruise, Resort, Pre-Spring, call it what you will. If there’s one thing we collectively agree on, is that it’s increasingly important on the fashion calendar. We’re positively smitten by the two brand new additions to the Le Mill roster this season: Zimmermann and Jonathan Simkhai. Zimmermann’s beach-ready, romantic lace is countered by Simkhai’s evening appropriate frill-and-lace details. Cushnie et Ochs stays on the elegant bend of the curve, while Rosie Assoulin continues to re-fuel our holiday wardrobe. Here’s a quick run-down of all the Resort 2018 trends that should stay on your radar.
They’re inescapable. Dresses and tops are punctuated with pops of these, for added flourish. Look to Rosie Assoulin, Zimmerman, and Bluemarine.

Fringe gets a sassy update and form-flattering silhouettes get a touch of flair. Look to Missoni, Marc Jacobs, Marchesa and Moschino.

Plaid goes beyond suits and gets playful. Monse’s alterna-suit dresses get a big thumbs up. Look to Acne Studios, Alberta Ferretti and MSGM for more. (Good call, keeping those Balenciaga jackets from Fall ’17!)

Gravitate towards frosty metallics. We’re seduced by Balenciaga and Chanel.

We’re collectively obsessed with this origami-esque fabric texture and so are the runways. Issey Miyake is a no-brainer. But also check out what Chloe and Vionnet have in store.

Trade your Millennial Pink for a decidedly punchy shade of the pink – championed at Versace, Fendi and Valentino too.

Earn your stripes, and wear them proud. Will that be little or lots? Look to Altuzarra, Thom Browne, Sonia Rykiel and of course Missoni.
