Where Reality and Fashion Intersect

We explore five overarching trends that Le Mill has identified for Fall Winter 2016. The second trend we’re looking at shows us how clothes are changing. It’s not about transforming women to become beautiful, but accentuating what exists. Your skin colour, your body, your lifestyle. Designers seem less worried about ready to wear looks and are focusing more on individual garments that can be used in multiple ways. Something that is much needed.

Under Reality, we are seeing individual trends that are reminiscent of the 80’s, exaggerated proportions, fabrics like leather and tartan, the colour of skin in every variation and androgyny. The best examples were seen on the runways of Balenciaga, Louis Vuitton and Yeezy.
